Sarah McMahon receives ten year service award from ASA.

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. --- The Amateur Softball Association of America (ASA) presented ten Junior Olympic (JO) Commissioner Years of Service awards Friday evening at the 2010 ASA JO Clinic banquet in Oklahoma City. The following ten commissioners were recognized for their dedicated years of service and time to the ASA.

Joe Pavone – Chicago ASA – 5 years

Sally Commerford – Nevada ASA – 10 years

Dave Forte – Central California ASA – 10 years

Glen Gotcher – Fort Worth ASA – 10 years

Cliff LaRose – Connecticut ASA – 10 years

Sarah McMahon – Kansas ASA – 10 years

Rick Hansen – Washington ASA – 15 years

Carol Pipgras – South Dakota ASA – 15 years

Kim Townsend – Georgia ASA – 15 years

Don Smiley – Greater San Joaquin ASA – 20 years

More than 120 Junior Olympic commissioners and other representatives from local Amateur Softball Associations (ASA) across the country are in Oklahoma City Feb. 5-6 for the 2010 Junior Olympic (JO) Workshop sponsored by Bollinger and Markel Insurance. Members of the 76 local ASA associations are taking part in a series of instructional and information sessions on youth softball hosted by the ASA National Office.
