Joe Sproul, State Commissioner appoints Rodney Peer, State Director of Umpires. Rod and his wife Sandy live in Wichita, Kansas and have two daughters. Rod is an attorney and has served as the U-I-C for Two Rivers Youth Club for ten years and as KASA Region 4 U-I-C for five years. Rodney is well qualified and it is indeed a pleasure to announce Rodney’s appointment as State Director of Umpires. <KASA State Staff> Russell Secrest resigns, stating the time requirements of his employment, and needing to spend more time with his family as reasons for his resignation. I know we will see Russ around umpiring games as time permits. Our best wishes to Russ, and thanks for the years of service as KASA Director of Umpires. George Cunningham, KASA Region 2 Commissioner appoints Bob Aman, Region 2 U-I-C. Bob lives in Emporia, Kansas and his chosen profession is education. Bob has been a registered ASA umpire for a number of years and worked the Girls Fast Pitch Nationals in Springfield, Missouri this year. Welcome aboard Bob! <KASA Region 2 Staff> Mario Narvaes appoints Salvador Tovar, KASA Region 4 U-I-C. Sal is employed at Burlington Northern SantaFe Railroad. He and his wife Vee live in Augusta, Kansas and have two sons and four daughters.
